Week 1-3 Introductory Tasks

This early period is very simple.  You and your students have enough to do getting the year started.  You can mention the Project to them, but let them settle into the year before you throw another task, another login, another thing to wrap their head around while they are still trying to remember their schedules and their locker combinations.  In the first three weeks, have students sign into WeVideo and find their way around the site.  Have them go on a scavenger hunt to locate Project Media that you have put there for them (by name) to annotate very simply.  Have students watch a tutorial on simple screen capture and downloading images and other files to Chromebooks, then add that media to a shared project.

Assignments: Sign in and Media Scavenger Hunt

• Sign into WeVideo using the invitation code that your instructor has given you.

• Visit the different pages of the site, including the tutorial section.

• Go to Media and look for a "First Week Assignment" Folder. 

  • In that folder, there is a still picture with your name ​

  • Send me a screenshot of that picture in the Media folder via Google Drive.
