Project Atlantic Film Course
Week 10-18 Overview
Weeks 10-18--Project Atlantic
Overview
This is the heart of the course. Students will engage with their Final Project Topic and do research; they will make contact with Community Leaders and conduct interviews; they will storyboard their piece, then produce and edit Beta and Final versions of their Projects. As this period goes on, more and more time will be devoted to the project. I allow about a third of in-class time per week for the first four or five weeks, then more as the project progresses. For the last two or three weeks, two thirds of class time is devoted to the Project.
There is a viewing of Student Betas two weeks before the end of the course, then a feedback session, and a Final Project viewed on the last day.
This timeline assumes a project begun in the tenth week of an 18-week Block-length course.
